The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) provided temporary rental assistance and rental and utility arrears to low- and moderate-income households.

New York State ERAP applications are no longer being accepted. The application portal closed on January 20, 2023.

Applications submitted before the deadline are being reviewed and processed in the order received. This includes applications from subsidized housing tenants whose rent is limited to a certain percentage of income (including public housing, section 8 and FHEPS).

Tenants and landlords may continue to upload required documentation through the ERAP Portal for pending submitted applications.
