2024-2025 Regulatory Survey

This survey is being conducted by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), which helps unlock economic potential and create economic security for all New Yorkers by connecting New Yorkers to good jobs, creating stronger businesses, and building thriving neighborhoods across the five boroughs. We are looking to understand the most common violations received by NYC business owners SINCE JANUARY 2024.

Small business owners can face significant costs when receiving and resolving city-issued violations. These include direct financial costs in the form of fines and penalties, as well as indirect costs like time spent complying with administrative requirements and attending hearings. Your responses will help us assess these costs and improve support for small businesses.
