Schools Curbside Composting

Curbside Composting is expanding to ALL NYC Public Schools (NYCPS).

Service is currently available in most K-12 public schools, as well as some private and charter schools. Nearly 90 percent of NYCPS schools have been trained on proper material separation.

The remaining schools will receive Curbside Composting service by the end of the 2023-24 school year.

Follow our composting guidelines for NYC schools.
